Dr. Sawsan Nur Eddin is an academician who is interested in psychedelics and their intersections with esotericism, spirituality, and religion. She supports harm reduction work and is concerned with the effects of the globalization of entheogens, especially on the socio-economic realities of Indigenous groups from whom they are extracted and the economic and political structures set up by those who appropriate them.
